Rocky Mountain Estimating's History:

The founder of RME, Shannon Poland, started his construction career when he was five years old, when his father would pay him a dollar a week to ride on the tractors at construction sites. As he grew up Shannon spent his summers and weekends working for a commercial construction company, starting as a laborer and then as a foreman and finally an estimator. After finishing college, Shannon started his full-time estimating career with a commercial contracting company and by 1997 he was working as the company's chief estimator.

In 1998 Shannon recognized general contractors' needs for estimating services and he founded his own company, SP Estimating, which has now grown into Rocky Mountain Estimates. RME now offers estimating for general contractors, subcontractors, architects and developers, ranging from schematic estimates to hard bid estimates. RME is continually growing and recognizing various companies' unique needs, and is equipped to provide a range of both short term and permanent services.
