Estimating for Architects
How Can RME Help Architects?
Architects who know the price of projects before the bidding process begins save time. How? How many times does the price come in over budget after the bids are in and you, the architect, have to go back and redesign until the price comes in budget. Save your valuable time and contact RME before you start your design. We can do the research and pricing before you begin to draw it so that you only have to draw it one time! You and your client will know what costs should be before general contractors even send in bids!
Other Advantages For Using RME:
Most of RME's estimators have worked for "design build" contractors. Contact us during your design process and we can show you ways to cut costs, eliminate RFI's, potential change orders and other added costs that may occur during the actual building phase . This in turn saves you and your client money and allows most questions to be answered before the GC even sees the drawings.
So don't waste your valuable time in designing and redesigning until the project is finally in budget. Call us first. You don't even need to have complete drawings. We can keep you up to date on costs so that you only have to draw it once.
What Software Does RME Use?
RME uses Excel software along with GTCO electronic digitizers. We feel that Excel allows the flexibility necessary for your estimate to turn out exactly how you want to see it. GTCO electronic digitizers are common in estimating. GTCO is an electronic grid with a stylet pen that enables each line of your blue prints to be accounted for. This gives you the most accurate quantity take-off available.
